Wayne and Coleen Rooney certainly have their hands full during the coronavirus pandemic with their four small children to keep them occupied.

Derby player Wayne has all the time on his hands these days as a decision on the current football season remains in the air, and Coleen is no doubt thrilled to have him grounded so they can share more of the parenting duties.

The couple are spending lockdown at their cosy Cheshire home with their four sons – Kai, 10, Klay, seven, Kit, four and two-year-old Cass.

Somehow, Coleen and Wayne have made their family life in lockdown look easy with fun days playing in their sprawling garden, bonding activities such as arts and crafts and lazy Sunday mornings in bed.

But the couple have also nailed the art of homeschooling as Coleen recently praised her sons on their efforts, writing: ‘My boys making me so proud in homeschooling ??? keep it up lads.’

So it seems turning their dining room into a classroom was worth it, as Wayne is often pictured going through learning cards with Kit or making sure Klay gets his English homework done.

Of course, it’s not all work for Coleen and Wayne’s brood as they make sure to schedule in play time too.

The family recently celebrated Klay’s seventh birthday and transformed one of their living spaces into a party room, with balloons everywhere, presents lined up against the glass doors and life-size cutouts of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John Cena.

However, the Rooneys won’t be staying for long as they are hoping to move into their new Cheshire property in the coming months.

Wayne and Coleen, both 34, purchased a £20 million property close to their current home in 2017 and it’s been undergoing extensive renovations since.

The mansion reportedly boasts six bedrooms with ensuites, a full-sized football pitch, home cinema, snooker room, six-car garage, swimming pool, gym, steam room and a wine cellar.

Oh, and did we mention the stable big enough for 14 horses?

If the Rooneys aren’t living in luxury now, they certainly will be by the sounds of it.
