Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen are heading to Austria for some quality Christmas time with their family.
“We love to travel, but with the boys now in the age that they’re at, there’s something so amazing about waking up in our home on Christmas morning with a tree and Santa and the whole bit,” Biggs told Page Six at an event promoting Mucinex Nightshift.
“So we’ve managed the last couple of years to be able to stay at home on Christmas. We’re actually gonna travel this year, but we’re not leaving until later.”
Biggs, 41, and Mollen, 40, typically wake up on Christmas morning with their sons, Sid, 5, and Lazlo, 2, “do the whole presents thing and then we usually end up traveling somewhere.”
This year, the family plans on heading to Austria. “The kids speak German,” Biggs explained. “We love going over there. It’s really great and there’s really nothing like Christmas season over there.”
“We are going to go skiing,” he added. “I don’t know about the boys; Sid has skied before, but now he’s older. That was when we could, like, make him ski. Well, we forced him. Now he’s old enough where if he doesn’t want to do it, he won’t do it. But he seems intrigued by the idea. He kind of remembers doing it the first time around. So hopefully I can get him on skis again.”
The real highlight, of course, is always the après-ski. “Christmas time in the mountains, it’s like it’s pretty magical,” Biggs said. “There’s really nothing specific on the agenda. I love a good fireplace, so I’ll be sitting by lots of fires. Hot chocolate — lots of that, too.”
Now, if only the “Outmatched” actor could get his decorating plans in check.
“I love a real Christmas tree,” he said. “Jenny is not into the real Christmas tree. I mean, she appreciates it, but I’m the one cleaning up the needles and, you know, I have to deal with the mess.”
