Dog the Bounty Hunter – real name Duane Chapman – has been accused of moving on with his son's ex- girlfriend just months after his wife Beth Chapman died from throat cancer.

The TV personality, 66, sparked rumors that he had fired up his romantic life after he uploaded a selfie of himself and Moon Angell – who was Beth's former assistant – onto social media over the weekend.

Fuel was added to the fire when Dog's daughter Lyssa blasted her dad on Twitter for embarking on a relationship with Moon – which Chapman denies.

Lyssa then went on to hit out at Moon but has since deleted the tweets where she called her a "disgusting woman", and the "lowest scum".

He may have denied any romantic involvement but here is a look inside how Bounty and Moon have grown closer since Beth's passing in June 2019.

Moon and Dog have been lifelong family friends – so it is not the case that their bond has come out of nowhere.

She has worked with the family for administrative support at Da Kine Bail Bonds for over 20 years which means they have become firm pals over the years.

Following the sad time of Beth's battle with throat cancer and death Moon is said to have stepped up to be there for Dog and business – to ensure he has the support he needs.

Dog has not been shy on being complimentary to Moon and openly commented "Love you" under a smoldering selfie

that the assistant shared onto Instagram the same day as Dog posted their cosy selfie.

It comes after Dog admitted on his TV show that he had struggled with suicidal thoughts in the wake of Beth's death.

"I just hope that I don't live very much longer without her," he said in a November episode of Dog's Most Wanted.

"What deal we said is I will never take 'Beth' off my chest, I have her name here. And I will never get married," he explained last year.

"And she said to me, 'We are human, okay?' And probably the same thing I'd say to her: 'I know you're gonna have a boyfriend, I hope you have 10, but don't go fricking marry one, and say those words."

He added: "Don't you dare do that.' I would say that, and she did say that to me."
