Arlene told The Express: “As a choreographer, I think Jayne and Chris’s Bolero at the Olympics will never be surpassed.
“When you talk about perfection, that piece was the most beautifully crafted piece of dance on ice.
“It remains as iconic today as it was when they first performed it. The timing they created within the music, and the way they used the music is stunning.
“People can recreate it as many times as they like but what they did was just incredible.
“I’ve met them quite a few times but I’m looking forward to working with them.”
The 78-year-old also told The Sun: “I’m most excited to be sitting in the judge’s chair but I love movement of dance and if it’s on ice, even better.
“I am going to be honest and fair and coming from my own place and where scoring should be.
“I may not match anybody else but I’ll be me. I think I’m going to be the straight talker.”
