Geri Halliwell, also known as Ginger Spice, has admitted she was a “late developer” before finding love with Formula 1 boss Christian Horner.
Sharing a rare insight into the early stages of her relationship with her now-husband, Geri explained she didn’t feel the need to hold her true self back in order to impress the team president of the Red Bull team.
“The brilliant thing was I was just, like: this is me,” she told journalist Dolly Alderton for The Sunday Times.
The Spice Girl, 51, added: “I’m not going to hold myself in in a Hervé Léger dress.
“I was quite grumpy to Christian, actually, and my sillier self came out. I was just real.”

Geri went on to reveal that although it may have taken her some time to get used to having Christian in her life after getting used to being single, the couple went on to develop a “really loving relationship”.
“We’re best friends,” the star added, before admitting that she didn’t know she could have such a close bond with a man.
Geri divulged: “And I went to an all-girls school – I didn’t know I could be best friends with a man.”
On finding love in her thirties, Geri reassured other women who are now in her position that they should stay calm and not put pressure on romance.

Geri tied the knot with Christian in 2015, before the couple had a son together, Monty, two years later.
The star also shares her first child, daughter Bluebell, with her filmmaker ex Sacha Gervasi.
Meanwhile, Christian’s Red Bull Racing team has won 11 world titles since 2005.
Geri, who first rose to fame as part of the Spice Girls in the ‘90s, also hinted a reunion may be on the horizon for the pop group.
