TOWIE star Gemma Collins joined the many celebrities weighing in on the bombshell news that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are stepping down as senior royals and will be now splitting their time between North America and the UK.
Taking to her Instagram stories, 38 year old Gemma spoke about the news as she pointed her camera at the front page of The Daily Telegraph, which featured the news of Meghan and Harry’s decision about their future in the Royal family.
Gemma said: “Guys I just want to address with you when I’m looking at the paper. Everyone is up in arms over Meghan and Harry, however, look at the way Meghan has been treated since she has been here – why would she want to hang around?

“Do we know that he didn’t tell the queen? Is that gospel information? How do we know that’s true? And I just think they want to go off quietly and live their life.
“Yes, they are royals but also the poor girl got absolutely annihilated really when she met Harry and I think everyone needs to ease up on it and good luck to them! I want them to be a young happy couple doing what normal young people do.
“Yes, he is a royal but did we receive Meghan in a good way? No. And I think they just totally need a break from it all so wishing them all the best.”
The Royal family have released a new statement saying they will work “at pace” to “find a workable solution” after The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping down as senior members of the family.
In a new statement, the Royal family said: “The Queen, the Prince Of Wales and Duke of Cambridge have directed their teams to work together at pace governments and the Sussex household to find workable solutions.”
Meghan, 38, has reportedly now flown back to Canada after just three days, while Harry has remained in the UK to deal with the aftermath of their shock announcement.

Meghan is understood to have returned to Canada where the pair's baby son Archie, eight months, remained with his nanny while she and Harry returned to the UK.
According to The Mail Online, Meghan had not planned on staying in the UK for long after their six-week Christmas and New Year break in Vancouver, Canada.
The publication reports that The Duchess of Sussex, 38, may stay in Canada for the foreseeable future.
Harry, 35, is staying in the UK to host the Rugby League World Cup 2021 draw next week, but is believed to be planning to follow Meghan as soon as possible.
