Former Holby City star Jeremy Edwards is suing the BBC after damaging his spine on a CBBC show.

The 48-year-old actor is said to have injured his back while throwing a man on to a couch in a scene on Millie Inbetween.

Now, according to reports from The Sun , the former soap star, who played Millie’s stepdad Mike, is suing Zodiak Kids Studio UK Ltd for more than £100,000.

As well that these reports, the central London county court papers also state that the ex-Holby City heart-throb had to repeat the throw “over and over” again in 2016 without training.

The papers add and conclude that as a result of this repeated action, Jeremy “suffered a significant back injury”.

According to The Sun, official documents also state that as a result of the injury, the actor is unable to partake in any form of work which has a drastic effect on his income and financial status.

The documents read: "Jeremy cannot act in any role that requires manual work or physical exertion — limiting his earnings."

Speaking about the incident at hand to officials, Jeremy is said to have been forced to turn down major roles in the US, including a part in the popular drama Reign.

According to The Sun , a judge told a preliminary hearing it was accepted that he should have had training.

Insurance companies are also said to have taken responsibility for the accident, but the amount of compensation Jeremy is set to receive is still up in the air.

Jeremy also appeared in the 2005 series of CelebrityBig Brother alongside the likes of Jackie Stallone and Bez.

The 48-year-old star married his partner Lydia Metz in 2009 and both are proud parents to daughter Scarlett, who was born in 2018.

Jeremy was previously engaged to S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens in 2002, but the couple broke up in late 2003.

Speaking about their split recently, the Hollyoaks star revealed that the pair's relationship suffered due to the fact Rachel had such a busy work schedule while S Club 7 were one of the biggest acts in the world at the time.
