First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is receiving treatment.
The 69-year-old First Lady of the United States underwent a “common medical procedure” Wednesday morning (April 14) and is set to return to her normal schedule, the White House confirmed in a statement.
A spokeswoman said she “tolerated the procedure well” and was “heading back to the White House to resume her normal schedule.” There were no specific details offered regarding the procedure.
President Joe Biden went with her to the procedure, which was done at an outpatient center in Washington, D.C., according to the White House.
Reporters on the scene added that they were there for about two hours.
The first lady is not scheduled to make public appearances on Wednesday (April 13), and will next be traveling to Illinois next week with Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.
