Demi Lovato is hosting the People’s Choice Awards, and for everyone wondering if she mentioned her headline-grabbing breakup from Max Ehrich, the answer is…yep! Demi mentioned her engagement and un-engagement during her opening monologue, joking “This year has been the longest three years of my life. Don’t get me wrong, it started out amazing. I performed at the Grammys and sung the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. But then COVID hit and everything shut down, so I did what everyone else did. I went into lockdown mode. And got engaged.”

She also added, “I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got un-engaged, and went looking for aliens in the desert so basically the same as everyone else.”

I mean, it’s great she can joke around about it! As a reminder, Demi and Max’s breakup was truly the most. And by that I mean he was extremely extra, spilling all their personal tea on Instagram, publicly crying at the site of their proposal in front of paparazzi, and even releasing a breakup song about her.

Damn, I’m exhausted just recounting that. Thank god it’s almost 2021.
