David Beckham and his daughter Harper Seven enjoyed some quality time together recently as they enjoyed a spot of organic farming.

48 year old David, whose Beckham documentary was released on Netflix last month, took to Instagram where he paid tribute to his “little helper” as he showed off his vegetable patch and revealed that he’d also been busy checking on his bee hive.

In the snap, the footballer was joined by Harper, 12, who wrapped her arm around his shoulder, as they posed for a picture in their sprawling garden. For the occasion, David embraced the countryside vibes as he sported a khaki number which featured a wide brimmed hat and gilet.

Captioning the heartwarming snap, the doting dad wrote: "And so the organic farming begins with my little helper Quick check on my Bee’s then over to the [vegetable emojis] Thanks mummy for the picture @victoriabeckham."

In response, David’s followers flooded the comments with messages of support for the duo as well as support for the pair’s new venture.

“Brilliant!!! love it!!,” wrote one Instagram user. “YOU TWO ARE PEAS AND CARROTS!,” added another.

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “David Beckham Harper is definitely a daddy’s girl."

Another added: “This so wholesome! I’ve always been grateful my family had gardens growing up- makes me appreciate home raised fruit/veg so much more these days! I hope you and your daughter build wonderful memories together!”

David’s heartwarming post comes after his former teammate Michael Owen spoke to OK! about his time on the pitch with the England player.

“He always enjoyed being a fashion icon and I was always on his coattails. David was the one getting the multimillion pound deals, and I was getting maybe 10% of the value of those deals,” he said.

“In my Liverpool days, I didn’t have a fashion sense and just used to wear trackies all the time.”

And while fashion was clearly the last thing on Michael’s mind during a glittering football career,he added that his triumphs were met with apathy in the Owen household.

“I do sometimes think, ‘It would be nice to come home to hear your wife and kids say, ‘You were brilliant today. That was amazing,’” he says. “I do yearn for their glowing references, but there’s none of that. It’s a brutal house where I live,” he said, only half-jokingly.

“It’s just normal for us. It’s not like I ever came in and she’d [wife Louise] be singing, ‘There’s only one Michael Owen!’ Can you imagine? The truth is she doesn’t really give a monkey’s about football and she’s never really understood it all.”
