The ‘Havana’ hitmaker, who announced her split from Shawn last week, takes to her Instagram account to thank family, friends and fans for their support and love in the past year.
AceShowbiz –Camila Cabello takes time to express gratitude on Thanksgiving. On Thursday, November 25, the “Havana” hitmaker took to her Instagram account to thank family, friends and fans for their support and love in the past year.
“I have a lot to be thankful for, but I’m especially grateful that I gotta whole squad trying to hang w me while I meditate. ️ happy gratitude day everybody!” Camila wrote alongside a video of her relaxing by the pool with her dogs. “I’m very thankful for all of you on here who send me love, listen to my music, and support me on this creative/ life journey!”
The former member of Fifth Harmony went on to gush, “even though I haven’t met a lot of you, you guys show me love, kindness, and support and I’m sending it to all of you right back! After all, we’re all alive at the same time in this crazy, confusing, magical world and I do believe we’re all interconnected and are never truly alone.” Concluding her message, Camila wrote, “Grateful for my human family and friends and my plant and animal family and friends. Sending you guys so much love and gratitude today.”
The new post came more than a week after Camila and Shawn Mendes shocked fans by announcing their split after 2 years of dating. “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” the former couple wrote in a joint statement. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward,” the statement concluded.
Of the breakup, a source previously revealed that it was a mutual decision by the “Senorita” collaborators. “It was not a bad breakup at all,” the source revealed to E! News. “The relationship was getting stale and complacent and they decided they are better off being friends.”
