Brody Jenner was allegedly “miserable” near the end of his relationship with Kaitlynn Carter — and now, no matter what she may be doing with Miley Cyrus, the 35-year-old Jenner is supposedly just happy to be free.

So claims a source close to the star of The Hills: New Beginnings, at least. And as the fallout from Jenner’s failed relationship continues to come to light, we’re learning more about where he’s at mentally — and it appears to be a much better place than when he and Carter were together.

According to a source speaking to People about the reality TV mainstay’s split from longtime wife girlfriend Carter, it sure sounds like things have taken a turn for the better recently (below):

“Brody doesn’t have a care in the world right now. He and Kaitlynn have been over for a very long time. He honestly could not care less about what she’s doing.”

This seems to track with what others have had to say about the end of Brody and Kaitlynn’s relationship. the pair had long been on rocky ground, the story goes, and they were on the outs for a long time before making things official in the press.

And to hear it like this, then, it sure sounds like the 35-year-old’s jokes about Miley and Liam Hemsworth were authentic — and it may not actually matter to him what his blogger ex is up to right now at all!

According to this source, the former couple’s problems even extended well before their “wedding” day back in 2018 (below):

“Their wedding day was this obligatory thing he felt he had to do, but they were already miserable.”

Crazy!

But alas, vitality has been restored… in the form of Josie Canseco!

Comparing the 22-year-old model and daughter of a former MLB star to Carter, the source added this little tidbit about the new flame to really drive the point home (below):

“He and Josie are hooking up, and he’s living it up. His relationship with Kaitlynn was toxic, and he hated his life with her.”

Wow! Tell us how it REALLY is, would ya?! LOLz!

Here’s the real kicker, though. The source also claims Kaitlynn’s Miley fling is an attempt to get Caitlyn Jenner‘s son to care… which he allegedly doesn’t.

Per the source (below), it sure doesn’t sound like all that public lady lovin’ has worked to affect him:

“Kaitlynn just wants to piss off Brody. She and Miley aren’t dating, but they’re both separated from their husband and bonding over everything that’s going on. They’ve joined forces.”

Hmmm… Goodness knows Miley has a lot going on, but to see Carter this vindictive? Pretty intense!!!

Are y’all buying any of this?! Clearly, this is a pretty strongly pro-Brody source… but do you think there’s some truth here? Does he really not care what Kaitlynn and Miley do??

Or is he secretly salty about the whole thing?!
