A clip of 8-year-old Blue Ivy Carter busting some moves comes out just one day after she hilariously interrupted her grandmother Tina Knowles and aunt Solange’s Mother’s Day tribute video.
AceShowbiz -Blue Ivy Carter proves that she inherited her famous mother’s best genes. On Tuesday, May 12, a video clip of Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z‘s eldest daughter showing off her perfect groove resurfaced online via the Instagram account of her personal stylist Manuel Mendez.
In the short clip, the 8-year-old could be seen twirling her arms along to the rhythm of her mother’s song, “Mood 4 Eva”, off the 2019 soundtrack, “The Lion King: The Gift”. Dressed in a blush pink outfit and wearing full makeup, she appeared fully immersed to the music. The clip itself was originally featured in her mother’s “Making the Gift” documentary.
Mendez, who has been styling Blue Ivy since 2018, simply captioned the NAACP Image Award winner’s clip, “Mood 4 Eva. #love.” Prior to working for the young girl, he served as her “Formation” singer mother’s personal assistant since 2009.
This dancing clip came just days after she hilariously interrupted her grandmother Tina Knowles and aunt Solange Knowles as they attempted to record a Mother’s Day tribute. “Happy Mother’s Day!” Shared via Tina’s Instagram, her spotlight-stealing moment came when she shouted a demand for recognition as well.
After her grandmother and aunt wished wish fellow moms a happy Mother’s Day, Blue Ivy yelled in the background, “And don’t forget all the beautiful daughters. Which I am one of them.” Her demand reduced the older ladies to laughter which ended the recording.
In the world of music, Blue Ivy has started leaving her mark despite her tender age. Back in July 2019, she scored her first Billboard Hot 100 song for “Brown Skin Girl”. She has also collected the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award at the Soul Train Awards for co-writing the song.
As for her interest in performing, a source told PEOPLE in mid-2019 that the second grader “loves singing, dancing and performing.” Praised as “a natural”, she was further described by the source as someone who is “very sassy, high energy and knows what she wants.”
