The new CBS All Access show will be an adaption of Stephen‘s novel of the same name. He will also be writing the last chapter, providing a coda to the series that’s not found in the book.
“The Stand tells the story of a world decimated by a plague and locked in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of 108-year-old Mother Abigail and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied by a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the Dark Man,” THR reports.
The cast of the 10-episode series also includes James Marsden and Amber Heard. Stephen also just announced that Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Brad William Henke and Daniel Sunjata will be a part of the show.
