Alan Carr was hilariously snubbed by Jonathan Ross upon learning that they were related.
Speaking on his podcast, Life's A Beach, 45 year old Alan relayed the story of when he and Jonathan first found out they have links to Margate, Kent and shared the same ancestors.
Speaking to Jonathan, he said: "People might not know this, but your lovely late mum came up to me at your Halloween party and said, 'We are related, aren't we'. Do you remember?
"I was so excited because we come from the same area, we are distantly related. I remember going over to you saying, 'Jonathan, Jonathan your mum says we're related'," Alan reminisced.
However, Alan was quick to note that Jonathan's reaction was not one he had expected as he vented: "You went, 'For f**k's sake'."
Jonathan replied: "I tried to stop her talking to people because she'd always find some famous connection."
Alan insisted that their link was "quite strong" to which Jonathan joked: "Is it really? I don't know if I want to be involved with you."
TV star Alan quipped back: "What! F**k you."
Adding fuel to the fire, Jonathan then reminded Alan of his appearance on Who Do You Think You Are?.
Alan found out his grandfather was a First World War deserter during the episode.
He had changed his name from Henry Carter to Edward Mercer after fleeing the 1915 Camberwell "pals" battalion'.
"You've got a deserter in your family. I don't know if I want to be tarnished by that," Jonathan told him.
He then added: "Well, neither of us have got looks, let's be honest. But you scrub up very well, you just don't do it often!"
As Alan awkwardly giggled, Jonathan added: "No, I've seen you look very handsome, you've got a handsome face.
"You're full of s***!" Alan humoured.
Meanwhile, life has been busy for Jonathan lately as he served on the panel of The Masked Singer.
Jonathan and Davina McCall are soon set to make appearances as special judges during The Masked Singer live shows.
The website for the show has promised: "The biggest entertainment show in the world is coming to an arena near you! The Masked Singer Live is an all-new stage production from Phil McIntyre Live in Association with Bandicoot Scotland (the producers of the hit TV show)."
