Danni Menzies has heartbreakingly revealed that she is still suffering from bouts of vertigo, 6 months on from a terrifying moped crash which could have claimed her life.

The 35 year old star, who is best known for presenting A Place In the Sun, was struck by a stolen moped while she was walking on a London street in October 2022.

Left with facial injuries and a concussion as a result of the smash, even six months later, Danni is still feeling the lasting impact of the incident, as she opened up about suffering from depression and PTSD in the aftermath of the crash.

"I could've died. It was really scary,” she told The Sun at this week's Ideal Home Show.

“I had to get scans for bleeding on the brain, my face was really messed up. I was depressed for a few months. My life went on hold for a bit. That was really tough. It took a while.”

Taking to social media not long after the crash, Danni revealed the scale of her injuries as she bravely showed her face which was still heavily bruised and swollen, with several cuts visible, notably above her eyebrow.

As well as the visible injuries, Danni also suffered a concussion which left her suffering from bouts of memory loss for the first two or three weeks after the accident.

While these symptoms did clear up, the property finding star went on to admit that she still suffers from vertigo a “little bit” even six months post-crash.

Danni also revealed she had undergone therapy to help her come to terms with the crash and had even tried alternative therapies such as energy healing and sound baths to improve her mental wellness.

Even with her best efforts, Danni explained it had been a “journey” to get back to a place she wanted to be, but added that she was hopeful and optimistic about the year ahead.

At the time of the accident, Danni was in the best shape of her life, as she had been following a gruelling fitness regime to take part in the reality show The Challenge.

Luckily, filming for the series had been completed just one week prior to the attack, but not being able to train following it, was a real blow to the fitness loving star, as she prefers to use exercise as a form of therapy.

In fact, it was only this month that Danni admitted she had finally got a good routine back in place, and was starting to feel the benefits in her mental health once more.

Opting for a run twice a week, the Channel 4 star now supplements her weekly dose of cardio with an F45 session or yoga class.

“I want to be the best version of myself and smash everything and be ready for anything” she proudly admitted.
