HAVING children can cause your body to change, and some new parents have been saying it's their ‘mum tum.’

Most mums, even if they were toned before pregnancy, will end up with a ‘mummy tummy' – as it’s only natural.

Parents will use it to describe the abdominal area that is caused by pregnancy – but it can cause some new mums to feel insecure within themselves.

Luckily enough, there are body positive influencers out there to show others that it’s only natural, and to be proud of their bodies.

Fashion fan Jessica Rout is one of them and she has shared a video to her 32.2k followers on Instagram, showing them how they can dress to their post-partum shape easily.

Filming herself getting changed, Jessica styled herself in a black top, cycling shorts, trainers and a blazer.

She captioned the video: “Dress my mum tum. I guess today was one of those ‘grab your basics’ make it work kinda days.’

Jessica claimed that the top is a “must have” from Primark as it’s got a built in bra as well.

She also said the “sculpting” shorts and trainers were from Primark as well.

Lastly, she revealed that the blazer she was wearing, which is her “all time favourite” , is from online store Boohoo.

She’s not the only mum who is sharing fashion tips to other parents out there.

Mum of two Evangeline Olualu claimed to have found the “perfect” dress for women less keen to flaunt their mum tum.

She filmed herself modelling the ribbed button-down frock, and had other mums gushing over it.

The collared dress is loose with a ruffle hem and short sleeves.

“You’ve found the perfect dress for summer that doesn’t show your mum tum,” the influencer said. “Okay but a bikini underneath is unbuttoned.”

The frock, which is available to buy on TikTok shop, comes in a range of colours – including beige, pink, green, and orange.

Other mums commented, with one writing: “Decided not to care anymore and will be showing my mum tum all summer long.

“Can’t let people shame me about bringing life into this world.”
