PENISES come in all shapes and sizes.
But men some regions in the UK – and the world – seem to lead the way in terms of the size of their member. Here's how you measure up.
What is the UK's average penis size?
According to Target Map, Britain's average erect penis can range from 3.5-5.8 inches.
However, research from London clinic International Andrology had slightly different results.
They asked 1,000 men to reveal their own penis size back in 2020.
A few extra inches could have been added in the process, they found the average penis length in the UK to be 6.36 inches.
Men with the largest members tended to live in Wales, according to the survey, with the average size in that region measuring 6.56 inches.
Those with the smallest penises in the UK were in the East Midlands, whose members measured an average of 6.11 inches.
Recent research has actually shown that the length of a penis has grown by 25 per cent in the past 30 years, from 4.8 inches to 6 inches.
Where in the world do men have the largest erect penises?
Target Map created a colour-coded interactive graphic which shows the different sizes of men's manhood, depending on where they're from.
The African countries highlighted in red have the largest members while erect.
Western African countries like Ghana, the Congo and Gabon grab the top spot, with their averages in excess of 16cms.
The countries shaded red have the largest manhoods while erect, while orange comes second, yellow is in middle, light green is the second smallest and green is the smallest.
This means that men from Australia, Italy, Norway, Mexico and South Africa are also on the well-endowed end of the size spectrum.
More recently, a team of German researchers from worlddata.info combed through more than 40 studies – spanning nearly 90 countries – involving penis size.
Their tally showed that men from Ecuador and Cameroon had the largest members, on average measuring almost seven inches from root to tip when erect – that's about 17 cm
Where in the world do men have the smallest erect penises?
While the diagram shows that African men have the world's largest penises, Asian men got the short end of the stick with the smallest size on average.
Asian countries like India, Thailand and South Korea don't measure up as well as other places and are at the bottom of the charts.
Averaged size penises in this part of the world vary between 3.6 to 4.1 inches.
How do you measure a penis?
The NHS gives advice on how to measure a penis.
At first they advise to see your penis as other people would, so look at yourself undressed in front of a full-length mirror.
The penis looks longer and larger than when observed from above.
According to the health service, there is little point in getting out a ruler or tape measure when the penis is limp.
This is because a flaccid penis can vary a lot, for example, depending on how cold the room is.
To get a precise measurement, do it when you have an erection.
You should measure the penis on the top side, from the base to the tip.

Measuring in at 18.9 inches, he hit the headlines in 2015 after a video of him measuring his manhood went viral.
