  • JUVENTUS are reportedly set to make a move for Christian Eriksen at the end of the season.

The Tottenham midfielder is out of contract next summer and Juve are the latest club to declare an interest.

Eriksen, 27, is believed to favour a move to Real Madrid – but there is yet to be a firm offer from the Spanish giants.

And Manchester United declared their interest the day before the transfer window slammed shut, but soon pulled out of a deal.

  • EXCLUSIVE by Neil Ashton: WILFRIED ZAHA agreed to a training-ground truce after a sensational players’ meeting at Crystal Palace.

SunSport can reveal team-mate Mamadou Sakho took matters into his own hands on Friday and demanded Zaha gives his all after being denied a move to Everton.

Sakho called every first-team player to a highly-charged meeting on the eve of their Premier League opener with the Toffees — without the knowledge of Roy Hodgson.

The Palace boss had sent Zaha home 24 hours earlier because he thought the player’s head “was not right”.

Hodgson, who was desperate to keep hold of the forward, has since been told details of the players’ decision to confront him.

When Zaha returned to training on Friday, he was immediately ordered into a summit masterminded by Sakho.

  • EXCLUSIVE by Justin Allen: BURY owner Steve Dale revealed to SunSport he intends to sell the crisis-hit League One club.

The Shakers have been told by the EFL they will be expelled week Friday if they do not meet all outstanding requirements of the League’s insolvency policy.

And Bury staff issued a joint-statement yesterday afternoon pleading for Dale to sell the club to a unnamed buyer who has expressed an interest.

Dale contacted SunSport and said: “I’ve decided it’s my intention to sell Bury FC due to the continued battle with the EFL and recent events which have affected my health.”

Asked what offer he would be willing to accept, Dale said: “I’m a sensible man. I want the club to survive.

“I’ve been told there is a buyer but no-one has approached me yet.

“But I am happy to sell. We’ve arranged a CVA where non-football creditors get 25p in the pound. If they continue with that, they’re up and running.

“I was footing the bill for that. Now the new buyer must do that. I just want someone to acknowledge the eight months heartache and work that has gone into this, I will walk away.

“I want the club to survive and I think I have done a good job from where we were to now. It may not have met with everyone’s approvals but the survival of Bury FC is of the utmost importance.”

The club, deduced 12 points for entering into a CVA and who have had their first three fixtures suspended, were given to 9am today to provide evidence the club can meet commitments to creditors to avoid Saturday’s game against Gillingham being postponed.

  • LILLE president Gerard Lopez has lifted the lid on why Nicolas Pepe joined Arsenal instead of Napoli.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “There was two things he was looking for.

“Either he was going to play Champions League right away or he was going to be part of something that could play Champions League, but was going to be big, where his impact would not only be in terms of goals, but on the club.

“There were two clubs that had that for him – Napoli and Arsenal.

“Napoli playing Champions League and Arsenal one of the big big clubs in the Premier League.

“He did choose the Premier League and Arsenal because that’s where he wants to leave his mark.”
