They haven’t often let their daughters be photographed for their privacy, but Hollywood stars John Krasinski and Emily Blunt made an exception to that rule to attend the US Open over the weekend.

The couple, who wed in 2010, often shield their daughters from the public eye, brought them both as they attended the tennis match at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on Friday night.

Krasinski, 43, sported a dark blue polo shirt for the outing, while his wife, 40, opted for a dark blue floral print dress and black glasses.

Their older daughter, Hazel, nine, wore a t-shirt and sneakers for the outing and accessorised with a white and green baseball cap with a Boston Red Sox logo.

Their younger girl, Violet, six, was dressed in a blue floral print dress and had a beaded headband in her blonde hair.

Both girls struck a striking resemblance to their mother, with blonde hair and similar facial features.

The outing came as the Oppenheimer star decided to take some time off from acting to focus on raising her daughters, sharing her decision in a July episode of the Table For Two podcast.

“It’s one of those things when people are like, ‘How do you balance it?’ I never feel like I’m doing it right, you know,” she said at the time.

“But this year I’m not working. I worked quite a bit last year and my oldest baby is nine, so we’re in the last year of single digits,” she added. “And I just feel there are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little”

She also shared that the decision came from her picking up “intense” and “time-consuming” projects in the last year, which took a toll on her family life.

While they don’t often share a look at their kids in public, the pair haven’t shied away from talking about them in interviews, especially when it comes to how their daughters see their careers.

“When I see myself up on a billboard, I have this complete dissociation with it…I’m like, ‘Who’s that?’” she said in a Harper’s Bazaar UK interview in July. “And I can see my children doing the same–they might say, ‘Oh, there’s Mama,’ but it’s not exciting for them.”

“What’s exciting for them is when I can pick them up from school and take them swimming,” she added.

Krasinski, meanwhile, shared in December that their daughters were actually convinced he wasn’t an actor and worked in an actual office for a standard 9-5 job, because they didn’t know what The Office, the show he starred on for nine seasons, was.

“The reason I think that is because I was walking them to school one day, and this guy came up, and he was very nice, he went, ‘John! From The Office!,’” he recalled during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “I went ‘Yeah,’ and he said, ‘Oh my God, it’s so good to see you,’ and I said, ‘Thanks’ and he kept walking.”

He went on to share that his daughter was confused when he said he didn’t actually know the man and accused him of lying to her.

He also shared that while watching the show, his youngest also didn’t believe it was him on the screen.
