FROM signing up to the gym to testing out various diets, there are a whole host of weight loss journeys people embark on in a bid to shake off a few pounds.

But one woman named Sultana, who shed 16lbs "fast," has revealed the five weightloss rules she swears by – and it's good news if you're not a natural gym bunny.

While it's different for everyone, Sultana took to TikTok (@sultana_minhas) and posted a video explaining how she belives you can "lose weight realistically."

First up, she says there's no need to fork out hundreds of pounds on a gym membership.

Instead, she suggests you just "start walking."

And while many of us enjoy a late night tea and biscuits or even a midnight snack, according to Sultana, it's important not to eat after 8pm.

"Drink water, have tea and wait a bit."

Hands up if you're guilty of shovelling your food down in a bid to try and curb your hunger.

Well, Sultana notes that this could be where you're going wrong.

Instead, she recommends chewing your food slowly.

Not only will this help to avoid indigestion, but chewing your food longer will break it down more, which in turn will help your stomach to digest it.

Eating slower will also give your brain more time to signal to your stomach to let digestion start.

The post has since gone viral, racking up over 224k views and several comments from social media users.

"I do all that and have lost 40lbs or 18 kg still on the journey 5/10 kg to go. Hope to be there by Christmas," wrote one.

A second noted: "This is doable!!"
