A WOMAN who lives in a council house says she’s found a cheap fix for banishing mould in her bathroom.

The social media user has had the same bathroom in her home for over 20 years and shared how it had slowly been taken over by mould.

So @abitofme123 decided to try out some different methods to get rid of the pesky problem from the rim around her bathtub.

And it wasn’t long before she said she’d found a cheap hack that more than does the job.

In a video posted to her TikTok account, @abitofme123 said: “Let’s address the elephant in the room here – mould.

“We’re all embarrassed about it, but I don’t know why because probably most of us who have a house have experienced some kind of mould in our lifetimes.”

Continuing to admit “that it’s really hard to get rid of”, @abitofme123 then shared her pro tip with others in need.

And the best part is it won’t break the bank, as it can be bought for as little as £8 from places like Amazon.

She explained: “I have found this temporary measure – I bought this adhesive sealant.”

The video then showed the woman placing it around her bathtub as she easily and quickly stuck it down – covering up the mould in the process.

Speaking of the results, she revealed: “It pretty much covers the mould that I can’t get off.”

@abitofme123 then showed some clear before and after images where the previously visible mould has vanished.

And others said it looked great, too.

One of her followers wrote: “Big improvement.”

And A second said: “I did mine last week, that sealant is brilliant.”

She later revealed to her 60.8k followers that it was still going strong despite people having hot showers and baths.

She said: “This one has lasted well so far with multiple baths and showers.”

But she said that didn’t stop her plans to totally renovate her bathroom when she had the money to do the big job.
