“Every country has video games.”

Donald Trump thinks video games are partly to blame for mass shootings — but Chrissy Teigen sees a hole in that theory.

"Every country has video games," the model said in LA in Monday, in response to the President’s much-derided claims.

"Every country has video games, they don’t have mass shootings like we do," her husband John Legend added, picking up the point.

When asked why politicians point the finger of blame at the video game industry, the singer replied: "Because the NRA pays them."

Between August 3 and 4, in the space of 13 hours, two horrific mass shootings claimed the lives of 32 people — 22 in a Walmart in El Paso, Texas and ten more in a bar in Dayton, Ohio.

In a speech afterwards, Trump declared: "We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace."

"It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence," he added. "We must stop or substantially reduce this, and it has to begin immediately."

But neither Chrissy nor her husband were buying it. "Every country has video games, every country has mental illness, every country has all the other things we have," he said, "but they don’t have the guns we have."

Last week John gave a piece of his mind about the POTUS in a fired-up message to TMZ, labeling him a "flaming racist", "a racist prck", a "piece of sht", and an "evil f–king canker sore on America’s whole landscape", adding "We need to get him out of office"

He took to Twitter in the following days to say sorry for his remarks, albeit somewhat sarcastically.

"I want to apologize for calling POTUS a POS this week. I was mistaken," he tweeted. "At least excrement has a useful biological function."
