Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) baby news is a beautiful thing for her and Billy (Jay Kontzle), but not such a great thing for the children they already have in Emmerdale.
Dawn is still high on her pregnancy news, but even she is shocked to learn she is 16 weeks pregnant. She and Billy are filled with emotion as they see their baby for the first time and they realise they don’t have as long as they thought to wait to meet them.
They aren’t blind to how big a deal this is for their family, and as Clemmie’s birthday rolls around, they plan to make it a huge deal for her before they break the news that their family is getting bigger.

But as Clemmie’s big day arrives, Dawn and Billy are worried to see her downcast and unbothered by her presents. In a heartbreaking confession, the little girl reveals that no matter what happens, celebrating her birthday won’t bring her mum back.
She’s clearly too fragile to learn about the baby just yet, but big-gob-Gabby takes the decision out of their hands when Nicky (Lewis Cope) pops round with a card and Gabby (Rosie Bentham) loses it – selfishly revealing Dawn and Billy’s news. As predicted, Clemmie does not take it well, dissolving into hysterics. She’s convinced that a new baby means there’s no place for her in the family.
There’s no calming her down and Clemmie’s upset turns tragic – in her anger she shoves a dining stool straight into Dawn’s stomach. Dawn collapses and Clemmie looks on in horror at what she has done.
Billy rushes Dawn to A&E while Clemmie is overcome with feelings of guilt and fear. It’s too much for her to wait to hear bad news, so Clemmie sneaks out of Home Farm and runs off into the night. Has she killed Dawn’s baby?
And is she now in huge danger herself?
