It’s been confirmed that we’ll see Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) in a whole different light in upcoming EastEnders episodes, as the beloved character spends time behind bars.
A few months ago, Kim crashed into the Argee Bhajee and ended up putting Denzel (Jaden Ladega) in hospital.
The event happened because Kim was glancing on her phone while driving, reading a message that confirmed Denise (Diane Parish) and Ravi (Aaron Thiara) were having an affair.
In the aftermath, Kim has been dealing with anxiety attacks whenever something small reminds her of the ordeal.
Because Kim used her phone while driving and put Denzel in the hospital, she is now facing the prospect of time behind bars.

‘She’s beside herself,’ actress Tameka Empson told us, discussing Kim’s sentencing. ‘She really doesn’t want to go but she knows she has to do the right thing. Deep down there’s a feeling of “this could be it” and she could go down for it.
‘She’s trying to keep a brave face and she loves the fact that Denise is there – the Fox sisters through anything and everything! Denzel has been a real rock for Kim actually too.
‘But she’s definitely very nervous and vulnerable. No Kim-ism will get her out of this, so she has to walk the walk.’
Sadly, it’s been revealed that Kim will be sentenced for her crime, as a future programme description says how her family will ‘prepare to welcome her home from prison’.
This episode is broadcasted on July 10 and will also see the return of Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin), who brings Keanu’s (Danny Walters) daughter, Peggy, back to Albert Square as well.
When it comes to Kim’s future, things aren’t looking good. Tameka goes on to explain the extent of her character’s worries, as she wonders how her children, Pearl and Mika, will cope if she isn’t around:
‘She’s got young children, so she’s got anxiety about them – how will they cope? How long will she be away for if she’s in prison? I think she’s built it up so much in her head because she hasn’t been open to anyone about it’, she said.
‘When you think prison, you just think Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) or Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) but now it might be her. Unlike Phil and Janine though, Kim hasn’t lived that kind of her life so she’s going into a scenario where she won’t have any control and she’s thinking the worst.’
