Christina Ricci pampered her 8-year-old son in New York City after her ex-husband, James Heerdegen, tried to block the little one’s trip.

The actress documented her and Freddie’s extravagant Manhattan adventures via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, starting with a trip to the FAO Schwarz toy store.

The little one brought “some snow back to Cali,” thanks to his mom purchasing a box of Marvin’s Magic Snow, a $25 powder that grows in water.

He also posed with a $30 box holding a giant gummy worm.



In addition to a Central Park outing, the mother-son duo ate dinner at Craft restaurant.

Freddie ate a $195 Osetra caviar dish with potato rosti and crème fraîche, also enjoying a watermelon mocktail.

The fun-filled trip came two weeks after Ricci, 43, posted pictures from a previous visit via Instagram, from a subway snap to a Statue of Liberty selfie.



The “Yellowjackets” star made headlines this weekend for alleging in court documents that Heerdegen would not allow Freddie to go on this NYC work trip despite initially being “agreeable” to the idea.

Ricci called the producer’s actions “vindictive” and “retaliatory,” accusing him of “purposefully” making her “unnecessarily” incur attorneys’ fees.

“Jimmy seems to be more focused on harassing and punishing me than on Freddie’s best
interests,” she claimed, asking that “the court consider retaliatory litigation conduct when making custody orders.”

The former couple married in 2013, welcoming Freddie the following year.

Ricci filed for divorce in 2020, with the exes reaching a custody agreement in April 2021. Their divorce was finalized in December of that same year.

The “Casper” star is also the mother of daughter Cleopatra, 1, whom she shares with her current husband, Mark Hampton. She and the hairstylist have been married since October 2021.
