A BLOKE revealed that he had 40 surgeries and injected his face with motor oil to look like his idol – but the results were a disaster.

Francisco Mariano, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, went to extreme lengths to transform himself into a popular Puerto Rican popstar.

The Ricky Martin lover admitted to having motor oil injected into his eyebrows along with 30 other cosmetic procedures in an effort to resemble the popstar who was once named one of the sexiest 100 men in the world.

In a recent interview with Semana, the obsessed fan said: “I don’t feel half of my face, I don’t feel my nose, I don’t feel my chin.

“When I drink champagne I have to do it with the help of a napkin because it spills on me.”

Many of the procedures Francisco attempted left him botched and disfigured as he became addicted to turning himself into a clone of the Livin' La Vida Loca singer.

He said that his desire to look like Ricky Martin started a long time ago, when people remarked that there was a resemblance between him and the popstar.

In 2021 Francisco said: "This started a long time ago, when they told me I had an air of Ricky Martin.

“I took it as a joke, but I started to make some changes and the likeness increased.”

He then decided to go all the way, saying: "I got a photo of him, I realised that I liked him and, like everything in life, when I like something, I go for it.”

However, Francisco, who said he was "born for television and cameras" and "feel[s] incredible" when people ask him for a selfie in the street, now admits that he regrets changing his appearance to look like someone else.

Despite now having spent around £7,290 on cosmetic procedures, he said: “Now I am able to realise that the ideal thing is to be yourself, not someone else".

Francisco is now a qualified ontological coach, specialising in neurosciences.

He looks like a completely different person these days, but he had previously told reporters that he was still not used to his new body after several years of changes.
