Love Island's yellow beanbag theory, created by past Islanders, appeared to "strike again" on Monday as Molly Marsh found herself in drama.
Only recently, Molly, 21, has found herself caught up in a love triangle with partner Mitchel Taylor and bombshell Zachariah Noble, who is partnered with Catherine Agbaje.
And this escalated on Monday as Mitchel, 26, declared that he no longer wanted to speak to Molly after she spent "hours" speaking to Zachariah, 25.
After spending an evening in silence, the next morning, Molly decided to clear the air as she pulled Mitchel for a chat on the beanbags.
To which the musical theatre performer joked that the reason for her drama in the villa was thanks to the yellow beanbag theory.
Molly said: "I knew I shouldn’t have picked the yellow one on one of the first days" to which Mitchel replied: " Bad luck?"
With Molly admitting: "Yeah!" to which Mitchel pointed out: "I did tell you!"
Viewers were quick to react to the scenes as one person tweeted: "MOLLY SAT ON THE YELLOW BEAN BAG!?!?!?!? WHAT!??!!?? #LoveIsland."
A different account put: "The curse of the yellow beanbag #loveisland."
Another viewer wrote: "Molly sat on a yellow beanbag, everything makes sense! #LoveIsland."
While a different fan added: "The yellow beanbag strikes again…… #LOVEISLAND."
Last year, the 2022 summer contestants revealed that they had been avoiding a particular seat in the villa as they all thought that the yellow beanbag was "cursed" and brings bad luck.
Explaining the theory in the Beach Hut, Tasha Ghouri said at the time: "That yellow bean bag, there is a very proven fact that it does bring drama every time someone sits on it… it happens.
"So obviously if you want to go sit on it, I wish you well, but you've basically brought it on yourself because the drama happens. So… it's obviously a proven fact."
It comes as eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot that Mitchel sat on a yellow beanbag last week with fans predicting at the time "drama" ahead with Molly, which has since happened.
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
