"Eden Hazard has been part of our club for four seasons, in which he has won 8 titles: 1 European Cup, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups.

"Real Madrid wants to express its affection for Eden Hazard and wishes him and his entire family the best of luck in this new stage."

EXCLUSIVE – Palace opt against Butland extension

RANGERS are clear to sign former England keeper Jack Butland after Crystal Palace passed on the chance to extend his contract, writes ALAN NIXON.

The Eagles had the option of triggering a new one-year deal with Butland — who has been on loan with Manchester United — but decided against it.

Palace already have two top keepers in Sam Johnstone and Vicente Guaita, making that department well covered and also expensive to run.

Rangers have been keen on Butland, 30, for a year but only pressed on with a deal in recent weeks.

Manchester United have a deal “well underway” as they look to replace David De Gea.

De Gea failed to shine as Manchester United fell to defeat in the FA Cup final.

While he could do little about both goals, his poor distribution meant Erik ten Hag’s side found it difficult to progress up the pitch.

However, A Bola now claim a deal for Porto stopper Diogo Costa is “well underway” as United seek to modernise their spine.

The report suggests he will definitely leave the Portuguese side this season, and his destination will become clearer after the Portuguese Cup final.

He was also instrumental in the Eagles cup run to the FA Cup semi-finals.

Crystal Palace have made a contract offer to Wilfried Zaha — but it is less than the cash on the table from Qatari side Al Sadd, writes ALAN NIXON.

Palace made their own pitch at around £150,000 a week and rising for their talisman, who will give them an answer in the next few weeks.

Jet-heeled forward Zaha, 30, has had plenty of foreign interest and Al Sadd are willing to put him in the £200,000-a-week pay category.

So the Eagles hero — out of contract at the end of this month — must decide whether to chase more money or settle with what he can get at Selhurst Park.

    Martial law

Erik ten Hag may be forced to keep Anthony Martial in the summer due to his “long” injury issue.

The Dutchman revealed Martial would be out for a while following his latest injury setback.

SunSport reported last month how Ten Hag wants to clear the Frenchman out of the United squad.

However, Martial’s admiration from club co-chairman Joel Glazer could prove problematic in forcing a sale.

Jose Mourinho saw his efforts to ship Martial out blocked by Glazer when he tried to entice Ivan Rakitic to Old Trafford.

    Mounting issues

Mason Mount wants a salary HIGHER than Bruno Fernandes to join Manchester United if the offers he rejected at Chelsea are anything to go by.

Chelsea approached him in August and September with deals of five-plus-one years and a considerable increase on his current wage, thought to be around £80,000 per week.

Mount rejected both, so the Blues went back to him in January, offering a one-year extension until 2025 and with a bigger pay rise that would have made him one of the best-paid players at the club.

This was also rejected by Mount’s camp, who are thought to be seeking about £250,000-per-week.

And this would place him £10,000 more than creator-in-chief Fernandes.

EXCLUSIVE – Clarets want 20-goal Ligue 1 ace

West Ham and Burnley want Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo — if the price is right, writes ALAN NIXON.

Clarets boss Vincent Kompany went to watch the prolific Senegal star, 27, in Ligue 1 action and the Hammers have also been tracking him.

Strasbourg may want up to £20million for a star who broke the 20-goal mark this term – scoring four more league goals than Lionel Messi.

But both Prem suitors might only take an interest if the asking price is lowered slightly.

EXCLUSIVE – Pep eyes Dortmund freebie Guerreiro

Pep Guardiola is considering a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro – which could pave the way to Sergio Gomez joining Burnley, writes PHIL THOMAS.

Portugal left-back or midfielder Guerreiro, 29, is out of contract this summer and has had plenty of offers, including one from Bayern Munich.

But his versatility means he is also on Guardiola’s radar, as he seeks a replacement for Joao Cancelo, who is back from a loan with Bayern, but has no future at the Etihad.

A deal for Guerreiro would open the door for Clarets boss Vincent Kompany to return to his old club for a player he previously managed at Anderlecht.

Gomez cost £10million from the Belgian outfit last year.

However, has played only ten games and is way down the pecking order.

Lloris has one more year left in his deal with Spurs but has been linked with a departure following a turbulent season stricken by errors between the sticks.

The goalkeeper strongly suggested there is truth in the transfer speculation as he admitted he has a "desire for something else".

However, the former France captain hasn't completely made up his mind yet and will hold talks with Tottenham during the summer.

Lloris told Nice–Matin: "We have reached an important moment, whether it be for the club or me.

"It’s the end of an era. I have a desire for something else. I will carefully study what is possible."

    Good morning footy fans

Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister appears to be closing in on a summer move to Liverpool.

Mac Allister's father and agent is expected to finalise personal terms after flying to England to speak to the Reds’ representatives.

Rumours suggest a deal between the midfielder and the Merseysiders could be completed next week if things go to plan.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has received an astonishing transfer offer from Saudi Arabia worth around £1billion.

According to Foot Mercato, Messi could double Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo's Middle Eastern salary if he agrees to move to Al-Hilal.

However, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is said to prefer Barcelona and the La Liga champions are said to have enlisted the help of Manchester United legend David Beckham.

According to L'Equipe, Barca are considering a plan which would see Beckham's Inter Miami signing the star forward before loaning him to the Catalan giants.

The Argentina international’s loan would last for either six or 18 months before moving permanently to the MLS.

The 35-year-old is set to leave PSG on June 30 when his contract runs out, and even missed the club's title celebrations to attend a Coldplay gig in Barcelona.

And Leeds are keeping tabs on Luton boss Rob Edwards as well as Lorient manager Regis Le Bris as they target a quick return to the Premier League, reports SunSport's Kostas Lianos.

SunSport understand club chiefs have drawn up a shortlist of potential candidates to replace Sam Allardyce.

Edwards led a stunning campaign that saw Luton finishing third in the Championship before booking their place in England's top flight for the first time since 1992.

Le Bris, on the other hand, has also shone brightly in Ligue 1 during his first-ever season as a senior manager.

The Ligue 1 outfit's former academy coach has impressed with his attacking football that saw his team climb to second place behind PSG at some point throughout the campaign.

Finally, Tottenham star Hugo Lloris revealed he wants to leave in the summer after reaching the "end of an era" in North London.

Lloris told Nice–Matin: "We have reached an important moment, whether it be for the club or me.

"It’s the end of an era. I have a desire for something else. I will carefully study what is possible.

"However, I haven’t forgotten that I have a year left on my contract at Tottenham, and in football, it’s always hard to predict what will happen.

“The most important thing is I find a project where I thrive.”

    Steven Gerrard linked

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is the new name on the wanted list at relegated Leicester City.

Gerrard wants to get back into management after leaving Aston Villa and hopes his success at Rangers still makes him attractive.

The Foxes are looking for a boss to lead them out of the Championship at the first attempt and raise morale after the depressing end to the Premier League season.

Graham Potter was Leicester's first choice when Brendan Rodgers left but he did not want to jump back into work after leaving Chelsea — though he has been sounded out again.

Potter has also been linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Nice, which prospective Manchester United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe owns.

Gerrard would also come along Leicester legend Gary McAllister on his backroom staff, which would appeal to fans.
