EastEnders favourite Callum Highway is preparing for his wedding to girlfriend Whitney Dean, with the ceremony set to take place later this month.

Whitney recently confirmed she’d booked the date for August 31st, and recent scenes saw the excited bride to be planning things, from dresses to flowers.

But viewers are convinced the wedding is doomed, thanks to a huge secret Callum is keeping from the woman he’s about to marry.

Callum recently slept with Ben Mitchell, and viewers are already shipping the new couple who go by the name of Ballum.

Whitney has no idea that her partner is secretly gay, or about his affair with Ben which is set to be revisited at some point this year.

Ben saw Callum was struggling with his sexuality and told him he wouldn’t tell anyone what happened between them, only for Callum’s brother Stuart to spot a moment between them.

This led to the character opening up to his older sibling, admitting the fling but he claimed he wanted to marry Whitney and that was that.

Now, a recent scene has led fans to suspect the wedding is doomed, with some even fearing the consequences for Callum.

During Monday’s episode, he was seen in the funeral parlour he works in, writing his vows on paper belonging to the undertakers.

Some viewers took it as a chilling foreshadowing that the wedding would not go to plan, as others hoped it didn’t mean something more sinister.

One fan tweeted: “Callum writing his wedding vows on funeral home paper. What could go wrong?”

Another commented: “Writing vows on funeral parlour paper? #SymbolismKlaxon.”

A third added: “It isn’t the best omen that Callum’s writing his vows on the undertakers stationery!”

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
