    Erling Haaland record

Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland is on course for a whopping 58 Premier League goals this season, if he keeps going at his current pace.

Haaland has bagged 17 Premier League goals already this season with a current rate or 1.55 goals per game.

According to Offers.Bet, the star striker could smash Mohamed Salah’s 32 goals in a season record for a 38-game season.

The Norway international could even surpass the 34 goals in a season set by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer back in the days of a 42-game season.

The 22-year-old could break Salah’s record in his 22nd game of the season, which is scheduled to be City’s away trip to Bournemouth on February 25.

If Haaland can keep up the ridiculous scoring record, he would break Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals in the 2026-2027 Premier League season

    Ron the way out

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to take a pay cut to depart from Old Trafford.

According to The Athletic, Ronaldo could push for a move away from United and potential suitors have been made aware he is willing to accept a lower salary.

The forward looked to leave Old Trafford last summer but no Champions League sides showed interest.

If the 37-year-old legend receives no offers in the January transfer window then the Red Devils would be open to letting him go for free if a mutual agreement is reached to terminate his contract.

Manager Erik ten Hag will also not look for a replacement if the Real Madrid legend ultimately puts an end to his second stint at Old Trafford in the New Year

    Back Ron it

Chelsea are interested in signing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo after his fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag.

According to Sunday World, the Blues are tempted to make a move for Ronaldo in January.

The West Londoners were one of several teams contacted by the 37-year-old’s representatives last summer after he decided to leave United.

Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly was keen to bring the star forward over to Stamford Bridge but former boss Thomas Tuchel opted against a potential deal.

But with Tuchel now gone, Boehly is keen to renew his interest and explore a swoop for the Portugal captain in the New Year.

Chelsea appear keen on a temporary deal that would see the five-time Ballon d’Or winner stay until the end of the season with an option to extend for a second term

    Leeds united behind struggling Marsch

The Leeds United board are understood to be standing by their under fire manager Jesse Marsch despite the Elland Road crowd turning on the American.

Boos rang out from the home fans at the end of yesterday's 3-2 defeat by Fulham, a fourth defeat in succession and an eighth game without a win.

The result leaves Leeds in the Premier League relegation zone, and Marsch odds-on with the bookmakers to be the next manager to be shown the door.

However, the 48-year-old was defiant despite the latest loss.

"I'm here for the long term," he said afterwards.

"I love this club, I'm investing everything I have to try to make us better.

"I understand the frustrations from the fans and we are equally, if not more, frustrated. We are doing everything we can and we are together.

"The board and I are unified. We have had clear discussions that we are together."

    Gunners cool interest in N’Dicka

Arsenal have reportedly cooled their interest in January transfer target Evan N’Dicka after centre-back Gabriel penned a new deal at the Emirates.

The Express believe that the Brazilian contract extension means that the Gunners are less likely to enter the market for a defender when the transfer window reopens.

The Premier League leaders had been heavily linked with Eintracht Frankfurt ace N’Dicka, who they were hoping to pick up for a bargain £7m.

However, Gabriel’s decision to pledge his future to the Londoners until at least 2027 will now see Mikel Arteta, Edu and co. look elsewhere for squad reinforcements.

The 37-year-old refused to come on as a sub in the midweek win over Tottenham, and then stormed off down the tunnel before the final whistle.
