It’s not like Sandra (Joanne Mitchell) to tell the truth in Emmerdale, but the end of tonight’s (September 30) episode proved that for once she has.
Sandra broke her bail conditions to visit daughter Liv (Isobel Steele) and offer her a stark warning, following her attempt to drain her bank account.
Unbeknown to Sandra, Liv had her own trick up her sleeve, and Sandra was finally arrested for fraud.
In tonight’s episode, the police were confident that Liv’s statement was pretty damning, and that Sandra could face up to ten years in prison for her crime.
Of course, Sandra immediately returned to see Liv and beg her to retract her statement. She claimed that Terry (Neil Bell) was the real criminal behind her actions, and that if the police questioned him, they would all be in real danger.
Liv and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) both thought this was a convenient story to get Sandra off the hook and dismissed it completely, kicking Sandra out of the house for good.
However, it would transpire that for once, Sandra was actually telling the truth.

The end of the episode saw her meet up with nasty Terry and tell him that Liv thought she was bluffing.
Furious, Terry exclaimed that he doesn’t make empty threats.
We’ve all heard the story of the boy who cried wolf, and with Sandra chalked as a liar by her family, will there be tragedy for Liv?
