Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has opened up about a number of sentimental presents gifted to her by boyfriend Joseph Mckalroy in the weeks following their devastating miscarriage.
The 29-year-old soap actress took to Instagram last night to share photos of a breath-taking silver bracelet with her 966,000 followers, captioning the snaps: "Joe wakes me up every morning without fail with a coffee (I know I'm very lucky).
"But this morning he woke up up with this… and my coffee… for no reason…[heart emojis]".
The sparkling beaded band included a heart-shaped plate charm bearing their names, Joe and Steph, accompanied with a heart engraving on one side, and the name of her son Caben, five – whom she shares with ex Jeremy McConnell – on the reverse.
Last month, former Celebrity Big Brother star Stephanie announced that she and Joe had suffered a miscarriage.
Posting a collection of photos from her pregnancy journey on Instagram at the time, she wrote: "MISCARRIAGE. I am not pregnant before people don’t read the caption and start congratulating me."
Stephanie continued: "Hi everyone. So I didn’t want to post about this until I was ready, I don’t think I ever will be or anyone is who goes through this but here goes.
"So as my beautiful followers a lot of you had asked if I was pregnant a while back when I wasn’t on the rides at Southport and you also noticed a lot of things, well you were right, we were having a baby! I was pregnant."
The actress continued to explain that at three months, she began suffering both headaches and severe morning sickness, after which she told boyfriend Joe that she "didn't feel pregnant anymore".
"When they told us there was no heartbeat anymore I don’t really remember much after that," Stephanie added. "Just totally heartbroken."
She also credited partner Joe – whom Steph has dated since December 2021 and went Instagram official with a month later – with having provided her unconditional support amid their tragic loss.
"I had to have an operation to have our baby removed. I couldn’t have got though it all without my absolute rock, Joe. My mum, joe's mum Jane and Cath were amazing and our family’s and my managements support."
