FORMER LIVERPOOL target Nabil Fekir is reportedly set to seal a cut-price transfer to Real Betis transfer in the next 48 hours.

The Frenchman was on the verge of completing a £52million switch to the Reds last summer before Jurgen Klopp's side pulled out of a deal.

Lyon are now resigned to parting ways with their academy graduate, however, after he failed to commit his long-term future to the club.

He is tied down at the club until next summer, but the Ligue 1 side were desperate to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

And Fekir has now asked club bosses to seal a deal with Betis, with the midfielder granted permission to travel to Seville for a medical, according to RMC Sport.

Arsenal were claimed to have made contact with the 26-year-ol, who is available for a cut-price fee of just £27million, earlier this month.

But the Gunners missed out on a move because they failed to offload £350,000-a-week Mesut Ozil.

Fekir, meanwhile, scored nine times and set up seven goals in Ligue 1 last season following his exploits with France at the World Cup in Russia.

He played a key role as his side were one of just two teams to beat Manchester City at the Etihad – the other being Crystal Palace.

And the French international grabbed a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win in September in the opening round of Champions League group-stage fixtures.
