THE Love Island baby challenge is presumably one of the funniest tasks that Islanders are set with every year on the show.

And as we anticipate for show bosses to bring it back for season five, here's all you need to know about the assignment.

When is the task returning for season five?

It's still unclear whether the baby challenge will still take place for Love Island's fifth series.

But we shouldn't forget that the task is usually set in the final week, so there's more than enough time for producers to still organise the assignment.

It would certainly be interesting to see the likes of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague juggle parenting while dealing with the ups and downs of their relationship.

Furthermore, how would couples such as Anna and Jordan cope with the idea of looking after a baby?

We've reached out for an official word from ITV, so stay tuned for our update.

What is the Love Island baby challenge?

In the past, the Islanders were all woken by a chorus of screams from a number of baby dolls in what usually becomes the biggest test of their relationships yet.

Each couple is usually assigned a baby and automatically become new 'parents', which means they must tend to their baby's every need which includes feeding as well as nappy changes.

Not all the Islanders rise to the task, with most often struggling to even deal with the idea of looking after a toddler.

What happened during the task in season four?

Jack and Laura originally named their son before a nappy change revealed they are actually parents to a daughter, who was then called Aubrey Crane Fowler.

Wes and Megan's daughter was called Mia Ruby Nelson and Alex and Alexandra named their daughter Ella Louis George.

Paul and Laura's daughter was called Arabella Knops, which is the name they had spoke about earlier this week.

Josh and Kaz called their son Prince Kavana Joshua Denzel and Jack and Dani's daughter was called Kimberley Flo Fincham.

Last year, Josh and Megan were both extremely vocal with their opinions about being a parent.

The challenge also officially marked the end of the legendary Do Bits Society with founder Wes rebranding it as The Daddy Daycare Society.

What days in the week is Love Island on ITV2?

You can get your fix of the show every night on ITV2 at 9pm where the main programme, hilariously narrated by Iain Stirling, gives you the lowdown on all the goings-on in the villa – from couples cracking on to singletons getting mugged off.

Saturday night's show differs from the rest of the week, as it is a round-up of all the best bits from the villa that week – and maybe some unseen footage.

If that’s not enough, you can also watch Caroline Flack's spin off show Aftersun on Sunday nights at 10pm after the main show has aired, where she discusses the latest action with celebrity guests, as well as those eliminated from the villa.
