- Angela Turrey, 35, from California, wanted to start a family with her partner
- The couple spent $9,000 on anonymous sperm donors but didn’t get pregnant
- They then found serial donor Kyle Gordy, who’s fathered 47 children, on TikTok
- After using his sperm, they fell pregnant – and say they want to use him again
A mother-of-one has revealed how she fell pregnant using sperm from a ‘serial sperm donor’ who she met on TikTok, and now she wants more of his children.
Angela Turrey, 35, from California, first met her girlfriend through an online dating site and started their romance in July 2015.
After a year together, they talked about starting a family – but they weren’t sure which route to pursue and initially tried intrauterine insemination (IUI), a fertility treatment which directly inserts sperm into a woman’s uterus.
She claims that one vial of sperm from the doctors, with an unknown donor, cost $900 each time, but after 10 attempts, they had no luck.
Despite their nerves, they tried their second option to conceive through different means and after one month, they came across Kyle Gordy on TikTok.

Having failed to fall pregnant using more conventional routes, Angela decided to meet with Kyle Gordy (pictured) a sperm donor from TikTok

Kyle is known for being the world’s most prolific sperm donor, fathering over 47 children across the globe at only 30-years-old.
Now, they’ve got their happy family after giving birth to son, Avery, 10 months ago – calling Kyle’s work a ‘selfless, kind’ act.
‘It’s amazing, it’s a selfless act that Kyle was willing to do,’ Angela told NeedToKnow.online.
‘[Initially] we were nervous about using someone we didn’t know very well, as we were afraid that they would want rights to the child.
‘We were also not educated about how the process was done and thought it was really odd to meet someone, just to try and have a child.

Kyle Gordy takes around 18 different herbs and supplements daily (pictured), which he says maintain his fertility
‘Using [IUI] started to become very expensive and we thought the money should go towards the child we wish to have instead.
‘We decided to use alternative means to start a family instead of a sperm bank and came across Kyle through his TikTok.
‘We were nervous to meet someone new and ask [him] to help us start a family.
‘However, after speaking to him and knowing why he did this, leaving it in our hands regarding contact with the child, it changed our feelings completely.’
Kyle shared his range of methods, knowledge and tips on how to conceive successfully, where they chose to receive a soft disc which could be inserted.
After meeting with Kyle, and following his advice and tips on how to fall pregnant, Angela finally conceived her son Avery

As they checked him over for any health issues, including STIs, which all came back clear, Kyle ticked every box for them – and they started the process right away.
She said: ‘We met Kyle at his place and he gave us his donation in a soft disc. After handing this over, while in my car, my wife inserted the cup into me.
‘We hoped this would take, but we felt so comfortable [with everything] and knew this could be a chance for pregnancy – it was very exciting.
‘[After finding out I was pregnant] we were in shock, as it took on the first try with only one donation.

Baby Avery, pictured here aged one month, was conceived after his parents spent a large amount of time and money on previous attempts to have a baby
‘We actually reached out to him last minute that month and he explained that he was helping someone else the night before.
‘He asked if we were still comfortable [for him to donate] and we’re so happy we said yes.’
In July 2021, she gave birth to her son and the two are overwhelmed with happiness at the whole process.
Now, they plan on having more children – with Kyle’s sperm being their top choice.
Angela added: ‘We plan on using Kyle [again] and have asked him to help us grow our family.

‘Odd’: The couple first thought it was’really odd to meet someone, just to try and have a child’, but having been through the process, they had a very good experience
Angela, pictured here with her wife and their son Avery, says initially the couple was concerned about using someone they didn’t know well for a sperm donor, in case they then wanted rights to the child
According to Angela, Kyle (pictured) was extremely upfront about being a prolific sperm donor. However, this hasn’t put the couple off, and they hope to use his sperm again
‘We’ve talked about starting this in [a few months] if we can make it happen with our schedules.
‘One of the main reasons we used Kyle, was knowing that he has helped others start families which showed that he was able to get people pregnant.
‘He was very upfront with how much he donates and this never pushed us away since we plan on being open to our son with everything as he gets older.
‘We’ll leave it up to him [though] if he wishes to reach out to Kyle or his other ‘siblings.’
‘My wife and I are extremely grateful for people like Kyle, as we wouldn’t have our son if it wasn’t for him.’
