Megan Thee Stallion has officially released “Plan B” after debuting the song during her set at Coachella.
The single is her first release since her March collaboration with Dua Lipa, “Sweetest Pie.” Her second full-length record is expected to drop later this year, a follow-up to her 2020 debut studio album Good News and her 2021 compilation album Something for Thee Hotties.
Megan, during her Coachella debut last Saturday, April 16, had performed the diss song and dedicated it “to whom the f**k it may concern.”
“I got this song that I recorded and every time I play it for a woman they start jumping and clapping,” Meg tweeted before her set. “I think I wanna perform it at Coachella for the first time before I actually drop it.”
The track seems to take aim at an ex, as she said that the song was “very motherf**king personal.” Some claim that the song was targeted at Tory Lanez, who is currently facing two felony charges for allegedly shooting Stallion in the foot in July 2020.
The new song, which samples from Jodeci and Wu-Tang‘s “Freak’n You Remix,” features lyrics like “d**k don’t run me, I run d**k,” “I’m the only reason that you got b**ches,” and “you’s a b**ch.”
