BURNLEY have seen a bid to sign Victor Moses blocked by the Premier League, according to reports.
The former Chelsea ace is eager to leave Spartak Moscow, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine last month.
Fifa and Uefa have ruled that players stranded in both country's domestic leagues can move clubs outside of the transfer window, due to the ongoing conflict.
Sean Dyche's side agreed a short-term deal with Moses until the end of the season, with Spartak willing to facilitate the transfer.
But Prem bigwigs have vetoed the move.
According to the Mail, league bosses have thwarted Burnley's Moses bid to protect the 'sporting integrity' of the competition.

This means that the 31-year-old will be unable to return to England to play on these shores until next season.
Moses is also unable to join a team in Serie A or the Bundesliga, with Italy and Germany taking a similar stance to the Prem.
The Nigerian international, who had been keen to secure a move to Turf Moor, COULD move to LaLiga, however, with Spain open to accepting players from Russia and Ukraine.
Moses last played in England during the 2018-19 season.

He subsequently spent the 2019-20 campaign at Fenerbahce, before making 20 appearances for Inter Milan last term.
Moses left Chelsea permanently for Spartak last year, and has so far made 46 outings for the Russian side.
He has been in action since war broke out last month, most recently playing 45 minutes against Nizhny Novgorod last weekend.
