DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my wife cheated on me the first time, I didn’t even question giving her a second chance.
She’s the mother of our kids and I couldn’t just walk away. But the second time, I needed time to think. She didn’t.

As soon as I challenged her, she went to her lover and is expecting his child.
I’m heartbroken. Our marriage is over and I didn’t even get a say. She’s 37, I’m 41.
Our relationship was never perfect. We argued a lot and our sex life was practically non-existent.
But all in all, I thought we were content. We laughed a lot and enjoyed each other’s company.
But my wife obviously didn’t agree. Now she’s told me she wants a divorce and she’s moving in with this guy.

DEIDRE SAYS: In your wife’s eyes, this relationship has been over for a while. But rather than communicating that with you, she cheated.
Of course, it’s hard seeing her move on so quickly, particularly as there was no real end to your relationship.
Try to distance yourself from her. Take her off social media and only contact her when you need to make arrangements for your kids.
You can still be a good dad to them and they will benefit from you staying involved in their lives.
