    VILLA have got their first piece of business done for the day – with Conor Hourihane signing a new deal.

    The 28-year-old played a key role in helping Villa gain promotion to the Premier League and boss Dean Smith has now tied him down to a long-term deal.

    GONZALO HIGUAIN could be heading back to the Premier League with West Ham, it has been claimed.

    Higuain flopped during a loan with Chelsea last season but according to Sky Italy the Hammers have been on contact with Juventus about his availability.

    West Ham need strikers having missed out on Maxi Gomez last week, and with Javier Hernandez the only recognised forward left at the club.

    ASTON VILLA could be about to break the £100million barrier for summer spending as they try to close three more deals.

    Boss Dean Smith has had a £15m bid accepted for Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz, and also hopes to snap up Egypt winger Trezegut for £10m.

    A similar fee is also close to being agreed for Belgian defender Bjorn Engels as Villa look to add to the seven signings they have already made since securing promotion to the Premier League.

    WEST HAM to complete £36 million signing of Eintracht Frankfurt's Sebastian Haller.

    The Mail Online are reporting that the 25-year-old is already close to signing a four-year deal with the Hammers.

    After scoring 19 goals in all competitions for the German side last season, the Frenchman is seen as an ideal replacement for Marko Arnautovic, who left the club to join Chinese side Shanghai SIPG last week.
