CHELSEA are reportedly in competition with Manchester United in the race to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Christopher Nkunku.
The 24-year-old has been one of Europe's standout players this term having been involved in 38 goals from 37 games for the Bundesliga outfit.
Nkunku, who joined the German side from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, has scored 25 times while also chipping in with 13 assists.
And it comes as no surprise that a number of clubs are looking to prise him away from the Red Bull Arena in the summer.
According to Foot Mercato, Chelsea are weighing up a swoop with Thomas Tuchel plotting a reunion with the player.
Nkunku played under the German at Les Parisiens, but he departed the Ligue 1 giants due to a lack of game time.
The French news outlet also states that Manchester City, Real Madrid and former side PSG are keeping tabs on him.
Though they have declared that any potential suitor will have to cough up a whopping £62million to sign him.

It has been said that Nkunku would be willing to depart Leipzig to boost his chances of representing France at the World Cup in Qatar.
Nkunku is yet to make his Les Bleus debut, and if his current form fails to convince Didier Deschamps he deserves a call-up to the squad, he would be prepared to take the next step in his career.
The Red Devils are also believed to be in the running to nab the three-time Ligue 1 champion, according to the Daily Star.
They state that Ralf Rangnick, who made Nkunku his first signing at Leipzig, is desperate for the club to secure his services.
United are claimed to be prepared to TREBLE his wages at Old Trafford, with the Frenchman currently earning £30,000-a-week.
Though interested clubs were dealt a blow last month when Leipzig's managing director Oliver Mintzlaff announced Nkunku would stay for another year.
He told Sky Deutschland: "He [Nkunku] will also play with us next season because of course he is a very important player.
"In football nothing is ever certain, but that's our plan."
