THIS Morning viewers moaned after Alison Hammond said Dermot O'Leary was having a "well-earned break" – despite only working a few hours every Friday.

Dermot was today replaced by Josie Gibson, with Alison telling fans: "As you can see I'm joined by the wonderful Josie Gibson today as Dermot is on a well-deserved day off today.

"He's having a little break, but I'm because it means we've got you."

Dermot took over hosting Fridays with Alison from veteran presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.

He also hosts a two-hour show on BBC Radio Two every Saturday at 8am.

Dermot's being replaced by Michelle Visage on the radio tomorrow as he continues his weekend off.

One viewer said: "Dermot's having a well-earned break? He only co-hosts once a week"

Another sarcastically said: "Dermot is having a day off. Yeah, because he was really working hard for the money between Monday and Thursday on #ThisMorning, wasn't he?"

Someone else moaned: "Dermot having a day off does 1 day a week!"

Later, the presenter hinted at a permanent shake-up with the presenting team.

Josie stepped in to cover Dermot, who Alison said was having a "well-earned day off".

As they introduced a new game called What The Hack, Alison read on the autocue it would be for "first and last time".

But she added: "Well I don't think it'll be the last time."

Alison said: "Also today, Matt Edmondson will be putting Josie and I to the test when we play our guessing for the very first time, and probably the last time."

Josie went on to point out they had taken over with their regional accents.

She said: "A few years ago, who would have thought a Brummie and Bristolian would be presenting This Morning?"

The pair also pointed out they were both Big Brother contestants.

Alison then joked she was the show "loser", while Josie won her series.
