British actor Michael Sleggs has died at the age of 33, after suffering from heart complications.

The WTAF A This Country podcast’s official Twitter account shared: “We are devastated! Our friend, the man the legend Michael Sleggs #Slugs passed away last night. RIP Michael. You are one in a million.”

Michael was previously reported to have cancer, but he took to social media to clear things up.

In an Instagram post, he revealed: “I don’t have any cancer, haven’t had for 18 years so I don’t know where the press got that idea.

“Sure, recently I was put into palliative care cuz my heart failure was getting out of control”.

He ended the heartbreaking post by saying: “I don’t know how long this turn around will last but I’ll try and keep alive as long as I can”.

He said the was “brilliant I love movies, but what I would really love to do for a living is to make the,”.

Michael starred alongside Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper, who play Kurtan and Kerry.

Michael appeared as character Slugs in seven episodes.

Daisy and Charlie created the show based on Michael himself, although he didn’t realise it.

Charlie told Cotswolds Life in 2017: “He didn’t realise the character was anything to do with him. He went up to Daisy during filming and goes, ‘I know who the character is based on’.

“And Daisy’s like, ‘Yeah I’m sorry mate, I hope you’re all right with that’. And he said, ‘It’s Paul Fisher isn’t it?’”.

Michael also recently signed a book deal to publish his autobiography Memoirs Of A 90s School Boy.

In October 2018, he tweeted: “So a few months ago I finished writing a comedy/biographhy about the different people I met there.

“Two attempts of applying to different publishers one got back to me with a contract deal.

“Obvs I’m pretty psyched about this. No release date yet but soon.”
