ANTHONY JOSHUA says he is “deadly serious” about fighting former heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury and he wants to “knock his block off.”

The IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight champ was responding to Fury saying he wants his first fight back to be against him.

Speaking to iFL TV, AJ said: “I think he’s smart, give him two fights and people will realise how boring he is again.

“I’m deadly serious about fighting him, I’m deadly serious too and I see a serious man, when he’s reaching out and I’m reaching out we’re both serious about getting this fight on."

Joshua said his competitive side says he wants to “knock his block off”.

He added: “One side of me I’m supporting him getting back – whatever he needs, if he needs any support let’s do it, but on the other side as a competitor – I want to knock his block off.”

Joshua believes the fight wouldn’t be a problem to make with Fury despite Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren not being on the best of terms.

He thinks one of the main issues will be where the fight will be broadcast.
