LORIENT star Yoane Wissa has been rushed to hospital after 'having burning liquid thrown in his face’ by a woman intruder at his home.
The 24-year-old Congolese international was allegedly the victim of the attack last night.
According to French publication L'Equipe, the winger was assaulted by a lady who threw liquid in his face.
The Ligue 1 ace was taken to hospital after the reported attack.
And he is believed to be in a stable condition today.
Reports in France claim that the woman appeared at his house yesterday afternoon to ask for an autograph for her son.
Wissa happily obliged her request for a signature as an act of ‘good grace’.
But later that day, around midnight, the same lady allegedly entered his home.
When the footy star confronted her, she threw liquid at him which reportedly caused burns to his face.
A Lorient statement read: “FC Lorient learned this morning that Yoane Wissa had been the victim of an assault at home during the night before being hospitalised urgently.

“Yoane is due for surgery today.”
It added: “The club, in shock, want to show their support for Yoane and his family and wish their player a speedy recovery.
“FC Lorient is counting on justice to convict the author of this attack.”
