One newcomer on Coronation Street could be about to lose their life as Jan Lozinski (played by Piotr Baumann) begins to worry about Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) grows closer to Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni).
Alina and Seb have struck up a romance but Jan is worried the handyman could be about to uncover the truth about the trafficking ring he is involved in.
But the youngster isn’t the only one who takes an interest in Jan leading to him making some rash decisions in coming episodes.
First look images released by ITV show lawyer Paula Martin (Stirling Gallacher) do a double take when she walks past Jan and Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) on the street.
Eileen is shocked Paula recognises her new beau and is curious as to how they know each other but it seems likely Jan will brush it off.
If Eileen is worried Jan is hiding something, she could ask Seb to investigate after he helped to take down her former partner Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre).
And, if Seb airs Eileen’s concerns to Alina, will she let slip something she shouldn’t about Jan?
Later in the week, Jan will call in at the nail salon where Alina works and warns her to stay away from Seb, worried she will slip up.
Alina is quite besotted with Seb so it seems unlikely she won’t want to speak to her new beau.
However, she may be given little choice if Jan goes to extreme measures to keep her silent and avoid his trafficking secret being revealed.
And fans will be left worried when Seb joins Jan and Eileen in the Rovers Return for a drink and reveals he hasn’t heard from Alina.
He asks the pair for advice as to whether or not he should reach out to her and wanting to keep the lovers separate Jan warns him to contact the salon worker.
Will Seb listen or will he go digging for information and discover Alina has been murdered to protect Jan and keep details of the trafficking ring she was part of a secret?
Meanwhile, it looks as though another fan favourite couple could be set for a heartbreaking split as Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) gets the results of her cancer treatment back.
The new mum and her husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) will hear her tumours hasn’t grown and there are no signs the cancer has spread.
Daniel is thrilled but Sinead worries her cancer could come back at any time, which could lead to tension between the two.
While the businesswoman wants to focus on her male grooming products business, Daniel wants to focus on their family and even proposes again.
Could Sinead grow exhausted of Daniel’s suffocating behaviour and call time on their relationship?
Viewers will have to wait and see if they can get over the latest hurdle or if they’ll decide it’s best to part ways.
Coronation Street airs tonight on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
