RADIO 1 star Scott Mills has announced his engagement to boyfriend Sam Vaughan.
Scott has been dating Sam for four years and surprised him with a romantic proposal on the weekend.
Sharing his happy news on Instagram, 47-year-old Scott admitted to fans that he never thought he would tie the knot.
But since meeting Sam, the popular Radio 1 DJ changed his thoughts about getting married.
Scott declared: "Some Happy News! After 4 years together I’m delighted to say we got engaged at the weekend.
"As @samvaughan89 knows, I always said I didn’t think I would ever get married. But then I met you Sam.
"You make me laugh every single day, you support me in so many ways and I adore everything about you.
"As soon as I met you I knew this could be something special and it is (after a slow start😂)."
Scott concluded: "We’ve had some amazing times, and I’m bursting with happiness to know we will have so many more. I love you with all my heart."
'BEGINNING OF FOREVER'
Alongside his heartfelt message, Scott has shared a selection of sweet photographs taken throughout his relationship with Sam.
One shows the lovebirds posing in a plush hotel lobby, while Scott and Sam can be seen wearing Welsh rugby shirts in another.
Scott has also posted two photographs taken seconds after he had popped the question.
Sam, a brand manager for a large media company, has also shared his own snaps – including a shot of the engagement ring given to him by Scott.
"The beginning of forever," he wrote on his own Instagram grid.
"On Saturday the love of my life asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!
"I’ve had the most amazing four years and can’t wait to continue our journey! I never thought I’d find somebody who’s as obsessed with Sky News as me and I can’t wait to call him my husband! @realscottmills"
