NEIL WARNOCK will be telling his players to "get off the bus and sign autographs" after taking over as Cardiff City boss.

This week the former QPR, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United manager took over the reins at the Cardiff City Stadium.

And in his first interview, he claimed he did "not like certain aspects of the modern game," as he aims to breathe new life into the Welsh club.

"I believe players should get off the bus and sign autographs, not walk with big earphones on and ignore the fans," the ex-Leeds boss said.

"I think the fans are very important, and what we've got to look at is how we can put a solid foundation while I'm here into the club.

"I hadn't looked at the fixture list before I came, and the next ten games are quite horrific. But sometimes in the Championship, they're the ones you do well in.

I see teams spending a lot of money, £440-50million because there is so much at stake if you get promotion to the Premier League.

But I don't think money wins you leagues. I look back at the dressing rooms when I won promotions, and I think the fans play a big part of that."
