Rochelle Humes jokingly walked off the This Morning set leaving Vernon Kay to present a small section of the ITV show alone.

The hilarious moment occurred after Rochelle and Vernon tucked into a tasty festive trifle dessert during the latest cooking segment.

Things took an awkward turn when Rochelle decided to talk off set with the pudding, leaving Vernon to take the programme to an advert break.

She joked: "Have a good show" as she walked out of camera shot.

The pair were left in tears earlier in Wednesday's show as they spot to Captain Scott Fisher, who is taking on 27 marathons in 27 days in aid of his wife's rare illness.

Both Rochelle and Vernon were in pieces at the end of the interview when the man told how wife Megan had taken "a turn for the worse" in hospital.

Scott explained that Megan, 26,was struck down with the disease in 2018 following the birth of her child.

From being a fit equestrian who competed at the national level and an Army Reserve, Megan became incapacitated and bed-bound.

Throughout the following three years and several occasions when she was close to death, no-one was able satisfactorily to diagnose her illness, despite multiple spells in hospital.

To manage her condition, Megan now takes 27 pills a day, counted out by Scott.
