Yewande Biala and Arabella Chi were awkwardly reunited during Sunday night’s Love Island: Aftersun.

The 23 year old scientist was dumped from the island as Danny Williams decided to couple up with bombshell arrival Arabella, 28.

But after a short romance, Arabella was booted from the villa herself following a public vote.

Arabella and Danny wasted no time following Yewande’s departure — kissing in front of their fellow islanders within an hour of Yewande leaving.

As they came face to face for the first time since the dissolution of their bitter love triangle, Yewande was on the hunt for answers over their whirlwind relationship.

Love Island – every coupling, recoupling and dumping of the 2019 series

First coupling: Day one, Monday June 3

The first 10 contestants entered the Love Island 2019 villa and coupled up as follows:

  • Callum Macleod and Amber Gill
  • Michael Griffiths and Yewande Biala
  • Anton Danyluk and Amy Hart
  • Sherif Lanre and Anna Vakili
  • Joe Garrett and Lucie Donlan

Drama on day one

Later that day, the first two new arrivals entered the villa, leading to changes in the couples.

Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard each got to choose who they wanted to be in a couple with.

Tommy chose to steal Lucie from Joe, while Curtis stole Amy from Anton.

This left Anton and Joe in danger of being dumped in the first recoupling.

First recoupling: Day five, Friday, June 7

Between the first and second recouplings, the Love Island villa got another new arrival as blonde beauty Molly-Mae Hague entered the show.

The first recoupling saw the girls choosing the boys, leading to the following couples:

  • Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury
  • Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre
  • Lucie Donlan and Joe Garrett
  • Yewande Biala and Michael Griffiths
  • Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard
  • Amber Gill and Anton Danyluk

Change beckoned

This left Callum out of a couple, meaning he was the first to get dumped from the villa.

Three new cast members then joined the villa; model Danny Williams, eyelash technician Elma Pazar and grid girl Maura Higgins.

The week also saw Sherif Lanre kicked off the show for breaking the rules of Love Island, leaving Anna out of a couple. It later emerged the trained chef and rugby player was ousted after a play-fight involving newbie Molly-Mae.

Second recoupling: Day 14, Sunday, June 16

The second recoupling resulted in the following couples:

  • Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague
  • Joe Garrett and Lucie Donlan
  • Anton Danyluk and Elma Pazar
  • Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart
  • Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill
  • Danny Williams and Yewande Biala

Recoupling number three

The last recoupling took place on Monday, June 24.

It was a tense one and saw Danny pick new girl Arabella over Yewande.

Anton Danyluk chose single girl Lucie Donlan so she has a chance to find love.

Tonight – June 27 – will see the least popular couple dumped from the villa, as viewers vote to keep their favourite.

After host Caroline Flack replayed the clip of their smooch, Yewande said: “It’s weird watching that back, how long was it after I left?”

Arabella honestly answered: “Maybe an hour.”

Yewande frostily responded: “Well, I mean…” before pulling a disgruntled face.

The pair were also shown a spoiler clip of Danny asking new Casa Amor arrival Jourdan Riane to share a bed with him.

Caroline asked: “How do you feel? Like you have both had a lucky escape?”

Arabella giggled: “Third time lucky!,” before adding: “He is single, it is too early to call it!

“I would have never said to him ‘wait for me,’ he is single, he can do what he wants – it is his journey!”

  • Love Island: Yewande Biala ‘really excited’ to come face to face with Arabella Chi on live TV as she reacts to dumping

Yewande previously reacted to Arabella’s elimination, telling her 573,000 followers: “Obviously, to lose any islander it is sad because I know how it feels, and it’s really horrible.

“I have nothing against Arabella, she is a lovely girl. She kind of came in to do what she was supposed to do, it was just the situation that was really unfortunate and how it went.

“It is really sad but I don’t really know her on a personal level, I can’t really comment.”
